Andrew Hurley Named Regional Executive Officer for New York Region
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ACE Group today announced the appointment of John Alfieri as Division
President, ACE USA Regional Operations. In this role, Mr. Alfieri will
have responsibility for driving national and local distribution
strategies, retention and growth initiatives for large and middle market
accounts, customer segmentation efforts, and expanding ACE USA’s product
and marketing presence throughout the country. He will assume leadership
of ACE USA’s regional executive and branch management teams, and the
company’s national account and corporate risk segment staff around the
country. In this capacity he will report to Chris Maleno, Division
President, ACE USA.
In addition, Andrew Hurley has been appointed Regional Executive
Officer, New York Region for ACE USA. In this role, Mr. Hurley will be
responsible for setting and driving the overall strategic direction for
the New York region, and oversee the regional production plans,
distribution, product sales, marketing, and producer management. Mr.
Hurley will report to Mr. Alfieri.

Mr. Alfieri brings more than 30 years of experience in risk management
and insurance. He most recently served as Division President of Global
Accounts, North America, a title and responsibility he will retain as
part of this new role. In addition, since 2004 he has served as Senior
Vice President and Regional Executive Officer for ACE USA’s New York
Region, with responsibility for setting and driving the strategic
direction for the region. More recently, he served as President of ACE
Global Client Executives, which is a key component of the company’s
commitment to delivering customized and coordinated service to
multinational clients.
With more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, primarily in
commercial lines, Mr. Hurley joined ACE USA in 2006 as Branch Manager of
the company’s Northern New Jersey office, and subsequently served as
Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Risk Segment Leader for the New
York region. Prior to his tenure with ACE, he served as Practice Leader-
Commercial Insurance Specialty for the New Jersey, New York and
Northeast regions for a global insurance company. His earlier experience
includes serving as a broker with a financial services firm. Mr. Hurley
received a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Boston College.
