MADRID--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ACE
Group today announced the appointment of Véronique Brionne as
Country President for its Iberia region, covering both Spain and
Portugal.
In this role, Véronique will be responsible for managing the
performance, strategy and development of all of ACE’s property and
casualty, accident and health and consumer lines operations in Spain and
Portugal. She will be based in Madrid and will report to Jeff Moghrabi,
Regional President, Continental Europe at ACE.
Véronique joins ACE from AXA where she spent 15 years, based in three
European countries including over two years in Spain.
Most recently, Véronique was Property and Casualty (P&C) Programme
Director for the Northern, Central and Eastern European region spanning
five markets. In this role, her responsibilities included ensuring and
improving the profitability of the regional P&C business, the successful
development of the product portfolio in the corporate and SME segments,
and the development of strategy for the business overall.
Previously, as Head of the CEO & Chairman’s office for AXA Global P&C
and a member of the Mutuelle Saint-Christophe Assurances management
committee, she held various management responsibilities across both the
personal and commercial lines portfolios and in a wide number of areas
including underwriting, claims, actuarial, marketing and IT. Véronique
began her career as an actuary.
Véronique succeeds Angel Diaz, who was recently appointed to the role of
Country President for ACE in Brazil and who has relocated to São Paulo.
Her appointment is effective 3 February.
Jeff Moghrabi, Regional President, Continental Europe at ACE, said:
“With 15 years of relevant insurance industry experience, management
responsibility spanning both commercial and personal lines, and
dedicated experience across a wide range of countries and functional
disciplines, Véronique brings a great wealth of all-round experience to
this key role for ACE.
“Iberia is one of ACE’s most important markets in Continental Europe and
Véronique is ideally placed to drive forward our plans for targeted
growth and continued investment in the property and casualty business
and in the accident and health sector, where Spain is a centre of
expertise for our region and represents our largest direct marketing
business in Continental Europe.
“Finally, I want to thank Serge Osouf for stepping up to provide the
leadership as interim Country President for Iberia over recent months
that has ensured strong continuity for the business, and for driving
forward our plans for development in 2014.”
