NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ACE Group announced today that Evan
Greenberg, Chairman and CEO, will lead a delegation of CEOs on a US-ASEAN
Business Council visit to the Philippines and Vietnam. Penny
Pritzker, U.S. Commerce Secretary, will travel with the delegation.
Goals of the CEO Mission, to be held June 1-4 in Manila and Hanoi,
include highlighting the robust growth prospects of Southeast Asia and
promoting two-way trade and investment that will benefit U.S. companies
as well as position the U.S. as an attractive market for fast-growing
ASEAN businesses.
Mr. Greenberg, who is Chairman of the US-ASEAN Business Council, will be
accompanied by the chief executive officers of a diverse group of
leading U.S.-based corporations. The delegation will engage with
high-level government leaders in both countries, including expected
meetings with Benigno Aquino III, President of the Philippines, H.E.
Truong Tan San, President of Vietnam, and H.E. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime
Minister of Vietnam.
“The ongoing and direct engagement of U.S. CEOs with ASEAN’s public and
private sector leaders is vitally important to exchanging views,
identifying common objectives and expanding opportunities for two-way
trade and investment,” said Mr. Greenberg. “We are honored that
Secretary Pritzker is joining us on this mission. Our delegation is
looking forward to an engaging dialogue with leaders in both Vietnam and
the Philippines.”
